Volunteer Opportunities
We are always looking for people to join the team and help support our library. We can train you for unique activities or take advantage of your current skills.
We have specialized needs for which we will train you:
- Gardening, bird feeding cleanup day: Help maintain the library grounds and our bird habitat.
- General gardening and weeding as needed
- Mulching and cleaning twice a year (less than 2 hour shifts)
- Maintenance of bird habitat is ongoing and includes filling bird feeders and bath.
- Book Sales: Run twice a year. Needs include marketing, set up, take down, room monitoring, and cashiering
- Book Donation Sorting: weekly shift to sort and box donated books
We also have ongoing needs for the following skills:
- Marketing: promote membership and book sales (both events and ongoing)
- Social Media, Writing, Graphics or Photography: Social media goal is to increase our visibility. Writing, graphics, and photography support the newsletter, website, social media and marketing.
- Website or technology: Modernizing our website and increasing our use of technology.
- Finances: Assist our Treasurer, especially with cash transactions and large book sales.
